The Westgarth Bush Kinder Work Experience Program

Westgarth Kindergarten is keen to share the bush kinder experience to assist others to facilitate the development of similar programs and to spread the word about the numerous benefits gained through playing and learning outside in nature.

To assist with sharing our program and knowledge, we will be running a work experience program for those interested in being part of Westgarth Bush Kinder.

To maintain the integrity of the program and to minimise disruption to the kinder children the program will run as follows –

  • 4 work experience participants will be selected to participate every Wednesday for a complete kinder term (2 participants to join the morning group 9am-12noon and the other 2 participants to join the afternoon group 1.15 – 4.15)

  • Work experience placements will only take place during terms 2,3 and 4 to allow the children to settle into the program

  • Work experience placements are open to all applicants, however, there will be a selection process including an interview to ensure an appropriate fit for the staff and the children and to maximise the benefit to the wider community

  • There will be no remuneration available for the placement and it will be regarded as a volunteer placement

Selection process

  • All applicants will be required to complete the online work experience application form.
